    Fr. Joseph Jenkins

  • An important theme for this blog is the scene in the New Testament where Jesus can be found FLOGGING the money-changers out of the temple. My header above depicts a priest FLOGGING the devils that distort the faith and assault believers. The faith that gives us consolation can and should also make us very uncomfortable. Both Divine Mercy and Divine Justice meet in Jesus. Priests are ministers of reconciliation, but never at the cost of truth. In or out of season, we must be courageous in preaching and living out the Gospel of Life. The title of my blog is a play on words, not Flogger Priest but Blogger Priest.

  1. I need your guidance. When my wife and I engage in intercourse, I usually digitally penetrate her to arouse her (and often to the point of orgasm as she normally doesn’t climax through penetrative sex alone) and then we engage in full penetrative sex immediately afterwards. We don’t engage in oral sex or mutual masturbation. I had always thought that this act is licit as long as it was part of a full act of intercourse but I have read recently that I may be wrong about this so I’m looking for clarity.

FATHER JOE: The old moral manuals contend that the whole effort would be made permissible if leading to the marital act or immediately subsequent to it. It is viewed as a whole.
