    Fr. Joseph Jenkins

  • When I began this blog, my header image was the New Testament scene where Jesus flogged the money-changers out of the temple. I imaged myself and all priests flogging the devils that distort the faith and assault believers. The faith that gives us consolation can and should also make us very uncomfortable. Both Divine Mercy and Divine Justice meet in Jesus. Priests are ministers of reconciliation, but never at the cost of truth. In or out of season, we must be courageous in preaching and living out the Gospel of Life. The title of my blog is a play on words, not Flogger Priest but Blogger Priest.

My dear friend Paul J. Wrabel passed away this morning. He was a parishioner of Holy Family Parish here in Mitchellville, MD and a member of Fr. Michael C. Kidd Council of the Knights of Columbus. Here we see him with his beautiful daughter, Kristin. My deepest condolences to his family.

Below we see Paul with DGK Mike Turner.
