    Fr. Joseph Jenkins

  • The blog header depicts an important and yet mis-understood New Testament scene, Jesus flogging the money-changers out of the temple. I selected it because the faith that gives us consolation can also make us very uncomfortable. Both Divine Mercy and Divine Justice meet in Jesus. Priests are ministers of reconciliation, but never at the cost of truth. In or out of season, we must be courageous in preaching and living out the Gospel of Life. The title of my blog is a play on words, not Flogger Priest but Blogger Priest.

Please remove your blogs from my email.

Recently I asked you some questions and you told me not to contact you again.

    Thanks.

    I think it’s only fair.

    God Bless

FATHER JOE: I have no control of the emails, that is a WordPress element that you initiated and only you can turn off. I try to answer questions as time allows. My objection to some is that they malign the priesthood, the Magisterium, or me personally. Some posts are written in advance and are posted on a schedule. Others might be light fare and require little reflection. The more complex questions and posts take time and various drafts. There are also some topics, believe it or not, where I have no opinion because of a lack of background and information. In these cases, particularly, I urge questioners to go elsewhere. Given time and respectful dialogue, I try to respond to most everything. I have forgotten what exactly caused the upset between us. I try to be charitable. Sorry if I fail. I only blog as time allows.
