  • The blog header depicts an important and yet mis-understood New Testament scene, Jesus flogging the money-changers out of the temple. I selected it because the faith that gives us consolation can also make us very uncomfortable. Both Divine Mercy and Divine Justice meet in Jesus. Priests are ministers of reconciliation, but never at the cost of truth. In or out of season, we must be courageous in preaching and living out the Gospel of Life. The title of my blog is a play on words, not Flogger Priest but Blogger Priest.

Priest Kenneth Walker Killed

Murdered, injured priests identified; suspect(s) still on the loose

Ordained just two years, last night someone broke into the Fraternity Rectory in Phoenix and murdered Fr. Kenneth Walker, FSSP. Another priest, Fr. Joseph Terra, was also attacked and remains in critical condition. Please keep these priests, the fraternity and their family and friends in your prayers.

Fr. Walker had a party this past weekend to celebrate his two years as a priest. Fr. Terra just recently celebrated 25 years as a priest. Fr. Terra called in the break-in. Police found Fr. Terra, badly beaten, praying over the body of Fr. Walker. Fr. Ken was shot to death.
